Corporate Headshots & Commercial photography! I tell you this is going to be one of the best decisions you will make in order to advance your business. You’re probably thinking I am placing way to much importance on this area, however, let me go through just a few reasons as to why I think this.

Firstly -Your Image is YOUR Brand

Photos enable you to show your prospects and clients what you have to offer rather than tell them. In this day and age, consumers like to see their business partners/vendors for themselves before making a decision about a purchase.

Secondly, You Need to “Look Like Money”

Your images and website are vital when it comes to making a great first impression on prospective customers. Using low quality and unprofessional photos will reflect the same about your business as well as the products and services you offer. As a consumer yourself browsing at online promotions, products or websites you have formed an opinion from looking at the images before you even know what the post is about or what the offer is. So do not hire cheap if you want to “Look like money” and of course professional.

Stock photos are fantastic for some elements of your business but they are not a true reflection of you, because they are not of YOUR business. You will have areas, equipment or accomplishments that cannot be showcased using stock images. You want your images to be personal to you, showcase the difference and create quality content for your future marketing strategies. After all, CONTENT IS KING!

When it comes to content marketing, one could argue that if you’re not going to make the effort to create quality content then don’t bother at all. But wait, what is Content Marketing and why would I need a photographer? The best definition comes from the Content Marketing Institute:

“Content marketing is a marketing technique of creating and distributing relevant and valuable content to attract, acquire, and engage a clearly defined and understood target audience—with the objective of driving profitable customer action.”

What many don’t realize is that photos are content. Online, photos can be used to make your website instantly more active. It’s no secret that imagery is one of the most important assets when posting social media content. After all “A picture is worth a thousand words….or likes? Therefore, they can be used to build your brand on social media, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+ and more. They can also be featured in blog posts and articles – the possibilities are endless.

Finally, Cost Effectiveness

I read this on another site but its so true and I hear it so often, but “if you think professional photography is expensive, wait until you hire an amateur.” For the past 5 years I have specialised in wedding and newborn photography, and have heard from so many people that they were unhappy with their photography from others and the problem is those moments can not be recreated and what you get is what you have.

I have even been asked to improve/edit the photos as best I can. However, all photographs have a copyright attached to them which belongs to the original photographer and 99% of the time the clients contract will state that no altering or editing of the image is allowed.
