outdoor family photoshoots

IN STAFFORDSHIRE

I ADORE outdoor photography and the best time for your photoshoot is in the ‘Golden hour’ the hour before sunset. This is when there is that beautiful soft golden light that helps to produce the most gorgeous image and with the stunning backdrop that Staffordshire offers you are guaranteed to get beautiful images.

With our outdoor photoshoots you can pick the location or I can suggest one based on time of year and time of day. I will travel up to 10 miles from the studio (ST4 7BS) free of charge. If the location you want is further please contact me so that I can explain what the travel expenses will be.

A session can cater for the whole family, looking at group & single shots or just your children. Its totally up to you and we will have a telephone consultation prior to the session where we can discus all the intricate details to ensure I produce a beautiful gallery of images for you to choose from so that you are able to update your walls at home and create stunning unforgettable gifts for loved ones. Prints and wall art make perfect presents for grand parents.

FAQ

HOW DO WE BOOK?

Either contact me through the website or give us a call on 07808 155 575 to have a chat about a session and get something in the diary.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?

My style is a mixture of portrait and documentary as you will see through my portfolio. Yes I do those classic portrait shoots of family, bridal party and of course the Bride and Groom, but this takes up a maximum of 30-60 minutes of the day. I also like to then turn these portraits into silly moments, say something to make you laugh or distract you from the fact I’m taking your picture which helps to create those natural images. The rest is capturing the moments as I see them unfold in front of me.

I DON’T PHOTOGRAPH WELL AND I AM SUPER AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA— DOES THIS MATTER?

I am just like you, not keen in being infant of the camera and understand that you might not have experience of being photographed and I’m here to help through a variety of ways. You would be surprised how many people ask me this question, and from me getting you into a specific pose, showing you what to do, where to put hands etc and then saying ‘now rub noses’ will make you feel silly, laugh and ultimately forget about me and ‘boom’ theres the natural laughing shoot. Of course, some people take a little longer to warm up, and in those cases I just take a few practise shots giving you lots of feedback and praise…always helps. You’ll see from my portfolio the most stunning shots are the ones when the Bride and Groom are interacting with each other, wether its talking, walking or laughing. I promise, I make it painless and fun, and it won’t be nearly as bad as you think!

MY (HUSBAND/WIFE/FIANCEE/CHILD) HATES BEING IN PHOTOS—CAN YOU HELP ME?

Again, this is more common then you think and don’t worry it would be my pleasure to help. With children, I often bring a bag of treats (one might call them bribes) which I will discuss with you in advance to make sure that you are okay with what I plan to bring. Engagement sessions are a great way to practice being in front of the camera and for me to give you some helpful tips to one ‘how to pose’ e.g. drop shoulder, turn hips etc. After all I want you to love your pictures and thats only going to happen if you look like your happy confident and having fun!
